Amalia Batori
2023 SAE Detroit Section Chair
Amalia Batori has more than 22 years of experience in the automotive industry at Tier 1 suppliers in the Detroit area. Her automotive career started as a Quality Engineer at Lear Corp., followed by a range of professional roles in advanced product quality planning (APQP), continuous improvement, and engineering cost optimization. She has been at Robert Bosch LLC for a little over 15 years, where she is currently Director of Sales providing powertrain products and services to OEM customers.
Amalia has been involved with SAE since 2011 when she began volunteering for A World in Motion (AWIM). She later joined the SAE Detroit Section’s Operations Board and became engaged in various SAE outreach activities including the Micro-Electric Vehicle Competition, High School Poster Competition, Scholarship Committee, Girls Learning Engineering and Mentoring (GLEAM), Young Automotive Professional Conference (YAPC), and Vehicle Events.
She received a BSME from Transilvania University – Romania and MSE in Industrial & Systems Engineering from University of Michigan – Dearborn. She resides in Farmington Hills, MI with her husband Cristian and their daughter Bianca, who is a student at the University of Chicago.
